Instrument Service & Maintenance

Service and support designed to maintain performance and ensure continuity of work.

Oregon Physics service and support for the MIBIscope™ platform are designed to maintain instrument performance and support consistent, reliable operation across research programs. From installation and operator onboarding through long-term system operation, service options are structured to align with your level of coverage, responsiveness, and internal capability.

When system performance is disrupted, service is focused on restoring operation quickly while minimizing impact to critical experiments, project timelines, and lab productivity.

For most labs, Full-Service Support is the most effective path to maintaining system performance and minimizing operational risk.

Full-Service Support

A comprehensive support model designed for labs that require predictable performance, priority response, and minimal operational disruption.

Includes prioritized response, planned maintenance, and expert technical support, with Oregon Physics managing system performance and service coordination to reduce internal burden.

Access to MIBI imaging services during downtime helps maintain project continuity and avoid disruption to critical workflows.

Basic Service Support

A structured support model designed for labs that manage routine maintenance internally while accessing support as needed.

Customers perform defined maintenance tasks and purchase parts, field service, and additional support as required. Troubleshooting and service support are available through prepaid service packages, scoped based on the level of support required.

This model provides guided access to support and components, with standard pricing aligned to system usage and internal capabilities.

Recommended for experienced teams with established internal maintenance workflows.

What Happens When Service Is Needed

When a service event occurs, components can be quickly identified and replaced using field-serviceable parts.

Full-Service Support

Complete system coverage, including diagnostics, part replacement, and system recovery along with access to MIBI imaging services during downtime to maintain project continuity.

Basic-Service Support

Guided maintenance and component replacement performed internally, with support available through prepaid service packages for troubleshooting, escalation, and advanced service needs.

Recommended Maintenance Kits for System Performance

Two maintenance pathways support routine stability and full system restoration.

Pre-configured maintenance kits aligned to real service workflows, helping teams maintain system performance, reduce downtime risk and extend system lifespan.

Kits follow recommended maintenance intervals and support both Full-Service and Basic Service workflows.

Core Stability Kit (6-Month PM)
Designed for routine preventive maintenance to sustain system stability and performance between major service intervals.

Key Components:

  • Ion Detector
  • Beam Acceptance Aperture (BAA)
  • Air Filter Panel
  • Polyclear

Recommended for routine maintenance between major service intervals to sustain performance.

Full System Refresh Kit  (Annual PM)

Restores system performance and mitigates long-term degradation as components naturally wear, ensuring stability and data quality.

Key Components:

  • Source Aperture (SA)
  • Beam Acceptance Aperture (BAA)
  • Wien Filter Assembly
  • ToF Ion Detector
  • Secondary Electron Detector
  • Vacuum System, Compressed Air, Filtration, and Thermal Fluid components

Recommended for annual service events to restore and sustain system performance.

Annual maintenance kits are typically aligned with Full-Service Support, while interim maintenance kits support teams performing routine maintenance under Basic Service workflows.

Commonly Replaced Components

Browse components by category to support routine maintenance, replacement, and system recovery. Components are organized to align with recommended maintenance intervals and service workflows.

For teams operating under Basic Service, additional support is available through prepaid service blocks (2- and 5-hour options), providing flexible access to expert guidance when needed.
